In the summer of 2021, Motley Local commissioned Alamance-based artist Davis Davis (@nonperishable on Instagram) to paint a mural version of the community brand that Motley Local had produced in May 2020. On Saturday, July 24th: the Town of Haw River, Davis, and Motley Local hosted an interactive community painting day, where community members were able to paint the lower half of the mural with direction from the artist and Motley. This community collaboration—that places Haw River on the map for visitors—greets commuters as they drive by Main Street, which is also known as NC Highway 49 that traverses the towns of Haw River, Graham, and Mebane.
